I never back down from a challenge, which is one of the reasons I consider litigation to be my calling. Over the past ten years, I have tried several cases to verdict throughout the state of South Carolina and have also appeared before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. 

 

My practice is wide-ranging and ever evolving, and I have significant experience in handling cases ranging from transportation and trucking, professional negligence, premises liability, negligent security, sexual assault, director and officer liability, residential and commercial landlord-tenant issues, dram shop actions, first party bad faith, and cases with high exposure damages, including traumatic brain injuries, toxic mold exposure, and wrongful death. I also provide general representation and counseling to local businesses, with a focus on those in the retail and hospitality industries. 

 

For me, the most important aspect of this profession is listening to my clients and keeping the lines of communication open to work toward the most beneficial and practical solutions to serve their needs.  I have been recognized for my service to the legal profession by South Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Stars; Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America; and as a Legal Elite of the Lowcountry by Charleston Business Magazine.
